EXCLUSIVE WEDDING COLLECTION
In late June I was commissioned to design and produce a wedding collection with silver chain and freshwater pearls. The wedding was an outdoor wedding in Golden BC and the bride wanted very minimal pieces. I designed six in total for her sisters and maid of honor. The brides piece can be seen in greater detail here.

UNDERWATER PHOTO SHOOT
I recently collaborated with one of my favorite magazines. I designed three full body chains exclusively for this shoot. The photos will be in the Fall Issue. Apparently the photographs will also be part of a traveling exhibition to Japan. I am honored to have contributed to this project!
I will keep up in the loop when the opening is, etc!

AVENUE MAGAZINE ARTICLE
Photography by Dermot Cleary.
“Pulling influence from the glamour of the 1920′s, the flirtiness of the 1960′s and the punk movement in the late 1970′s, jewellery designer, writer, photographer and all-around creative force Melyssa Nielsen has developed a style all her own by following her own advice: “Be yourself and you’ll always be in fashion.” The Alberta College of Art grad lived in London, Paris and apprenticed in New York before returning to Calgary to open her own design studio, Melncoly, because she didn’t think the other jewellery out there was for her.”
