AVENUE MAGAZINE ARTICLE

Photography by Dermot Cleary.

“Pulling influence from the glamour of the 1920′s, the flirtiness of the 1960′s and the punk movement in the late 1970′s, jewellery designer, writer, photographer and all-around creative force Melyssa Nielsen has developed a style all her own by following her own advice: “Be yourself and you’ll always be in fashion.” The Alberta College of Art grad lived in London, Paris and apprenticed in New York before returning to Calgary to open her own design studio, Melncoly, because she didn’t think the other jewellery out there was for her.”
